🌊 Did You Know the DR Has Some of the Most Stunning Waterfalls in the Caribbean?

Most visitors come for the beaches — and we get it. But the Dominican Republic has a whole other side that’ll leave you speechless.

Here are some of the greatest waterfalls hiding on this island:

💧 Salto El Limón (Samaná) — A majestic 130-foot cascade tucked inside dense rainforest, reachable by horseback or hike, dropping into a breathtaking emerald pool.

💧 27 Charcos de Damajagua (Puerto Plata) — A natural water park where you hike through the jungle and jump, slide, and swim through a series of waterfalls and canyons — helmet and life jacket required.

💧 Salto de Jimenoa (Jarabacoa) — Standing at 246 feet, this is one of the DR’s most striking waterfalls — and yes, it was actually featured in the original Jurassic Park. Discovery Channel

💧 Salto de Aguas Blancas (Constanza) — At 272 feet, one of the tallest in the country, crashing into a dazzling emerald pool inside Valle Nuevo National Park, often wrapped in mist. Discovery Channel

💧 Saltos de Jima (Bonao) — Nine waterfalls and natural spas fed by the Jima River, declared a natural monument, surrounded by stunning tropical flora and colorful birds.

💧 Salto de la Jalda — The highest waterfall in the entire Caribbean, located inside Saltos de la Jalda National Park — wild, remote, and absolutely worth it.

The DR isn’t just a beach destination. It’s a full-on adventure waiting to be explored. 🌿
